Because our families are worth it…
Raising a family is a challenge, especially in today’s world. As our society becomes increasingly dominated by divorce, teen pregnancy, and violent crime Familia helps to counteract these negative influences on the family and the very dignity of the human person.
In 1993, FAMILIA was introduced as a way to bring about a lasting change.This change would begin in the indivdual and spread to the entire family, finally effecting permanent change to our society, one family at a time.
By studying the Church’s teachings on marriage and family life, young families will grow in their love and understanding of what marriage is truly intended to be. Many parents who partake in this program share how much they appreciate the fellowship of other likeminded individuals, studying together and discussing concrete ways to form and educate their children, preparing them for life.
As parents in Familia study what is good for the family, they can immediately implement the tools they are receiving. As they draw a deeper understanding of God’s plan for marriage and the family, they are encouraged by the fruits, and supported not only by the Family Life Team, but also by deeper prayer and a fuller sacramental life.
Forming mothers and fathers, husbands and wives is time well spent as the future of society lies in the hands of the family.
